The problem
A bilingual site whose copy changes often, without needing a developer for every word.
Key decisions
- 01
Every string on the English and Arabic site is editable in an embedded Payload CMS, set up automatically from the translation files.
- 02
If the database is ever unavailable, the site falls back to the copy committed in the repo, so it never goes blank.
- 03
A snapshot script diffed the page text before and after the CMS move, to prove no copy changed in the migration.

Built solo in a week in September 2026.
